It was an exciting weekend
of basketball for Our Lady of Fatima.
Next weekend November 10th
and 11th the St. Lawrence League begins for the JJV teams. The girls play on Saturday at 2:00 pm and
the boys play Saturday at 10:00 am.
Good Luck to all of the Fatima Teams.
November 3rd and 4th
Notre Dame League
Varsity Boys
The 8th grade team played their second game of
the season on Sunday, November 04, 2007 against a tough team from St.
Theresa. Final score was St. Theresa 32, OLF 28. The boys led 17-11
at halftime. They trailed 28-19 late in the 4th quarter before
surging to tie the game before St. Theresa was able to score to unanswered
field goals for the win.
Varsity Girls
The 8th grade girls won first game in the Notre
Dame League. The opposing team was very strong but the girls were able to hang
on and played good defense and kept great energy until the end. They lost but
they did a lot of great things, I look forward to the games to come.
The 8th grade Our Lady of Fatima Varsity team played in the
St. Jude’s tournament on Saturday against St. Joes. They started off with a
slow first half but picked it up as the game continued to cut it to 6 points
with three minutes left in the game. They fought until the end but were unable
to come up with a win.
St. Ann’s League
JV Boys
The 5th grade boys were outsized by the 6th
grade St. Ambrose team. The Falcons
demonstrated good ball handling and teamwork but were unable to outscore a
talented St. Ambrose team.
Falcons 17 – St. Ambrose 30
The 6th grade boys were victorious in their game
against St. Ambrose.
The falcons lost 18-7 to St. Theresa on
Sunday night. The JV girls played a great defensive game and look
forward another chance to grab a victory at next week’s game.
October 27th and 28th
Notre Dame League
The 8th Grade Boys Varsity team opened their
2007-2008 season with a commanding win over Holy Family. Final score was
37 – 6. All players contributed with solid defense and effective offense.
St. Ann’s League
The 5th grade
boys played a thrilling game right down to the last second. Final score Assumption 31 – OLF 29. After only 1 gym practice they demonstrated
stellar teamwork. The 5th
grade boys are now 0-2 in league play but are building momentum and will be
playing for a W against St. Ambrose 6th grade team on Saturday at
11:00.
The 6th grade boys JV team won a hard fought victory against St. Catherine of Sienna this weekend by a score of 24 - 21. The victory was achieved through tough defense and great rebounding against a much bigger St. Catherine's team. The 6th grade boys are now 2-0 in league

Cross Country News
The Cross Country team will meet Monday, November 5 for a run to the End of Season Pizza party at Wilton Pizza. Please review email and flyer for details.
The Championship meet will be held at Greens Farm Academy on
Wednesday, November 7that 3:45. Please come out to cheer our flying
Falcons.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of the kids and
parents for such a wonderful season. I have enjoyed coaching this season
and look forward to next year! I really appreciate the beautiful cross
country jacket and gift certificate. What a NICE gift - I LOVE it!
See you all on Wednesday for our last meet of the season!
I Love My New Jacket Too!!!! I will be so proud
to wear it next season when we see everyone back for some competitive running
again!
